I have heard I will likely get the severance tomorrow. If so I want to say something positive on this overwhelmingly negative place. Pioneer gave me the stability to grow my family during an oil and gas downturn, the work life balance to care for them, the financial freedom to buy my first house, and likely the ability to pay it off on the way out. I will leave owing them a debt of gratitude. I won't miss a few people but I will miss a far greater number. It has been an excellent better part of a decade and I wish the best to those that make the cut. I think the layoffs are right for the company, and I think pxd is heading in the right direction once everybody gets past this unpleasantness. I wouldn't hesitate to invest my money here knowing it's in good hands. Hope the best for all of you. Peace!

I am terrified I'll be kept on. Give me the package, let me pay off my school loan and stay at home with my kids this summer and find a new job when school starts back up.
