Another force reduction September 2019

I heard CenturyLink is having another force reduction September 2019. Has anyone else heard this.

Any truth to this?

Does anyone know if the managers that got laid off received a big severance or any benefits?

"Really? Well this company didn't start that nonsense Until level 3 came into the picture?? And your right L3 employee, they have either riffed, or offered vspp every quarter since then.....So what you meant to say, is Storey and company do this every quarter!! Note well taken Moroccan MOLE"

Qwest did it for two years, Centurylink before L3 did for a year and then twice or three times a year in year two.

I would not be surprised if there is a VSPP offer in Sept and a follow on surplus before years end, remember a contract is due come March and they want to impact moral and get rid of as many people as they can as well as reduce head count for year end results and projections.

Several warm-body-shops have already been engaged by the Company to build their portfolio of candidates - to rehire as contractors. A larger of the shops in the OP KS area has started engaging employees (and past employees) to develop the portfolio. Good luck to all.

They have decided not to sign another lease for the New Century KS location.
Lease is over as of June 2020.
Force reduction of about 600 employees in that location.

Employees are to:
1 - Move to another location where their department resides.
2 - Work from home. "Depends on which department they are in." (NOT FOR EVERYONE)
3 - Take severance package and leave.

Every company does a RIF or declares a surplus ending a financial quarter and getting rid of folks going into a new one....

Obviously someone knew the truth about this subject 2 days ago. It’s definitely happening to all New Century employees. Some with options

I wouldn't doubt it. So many people have left already, tired of the BS, starting to look around myself. I think the managers are on the chopping block, another manager here said Level 3 wants 12 employees per manager and that's definitely not the case where I am so we shall see.

Same thing VSPP? =Force reduction Because if you have a smattering of brain matter left after thes people have soaked it out of you you will take the money and run...BTW 2nd post they have planned every VSPP for the last 2 years and will continue to do so

This company doesn’t have the for thought to plan anything more than a month in advance!
