I’m in the US. If I accept my package which I haven’t seen yet, can I still apply for unemployment or does accepting that void it? I’ve been hearing multiple things.

applied and no issue in PA
Regardless of state, file now. The state will dictate when payment is issued for unemployment. The good new is payments are lump sum so unemployment starts sooner. Don't wait, go to you unemployment agency and have them walk you through the process.
In my state, it depends on how the payment is made. If it is a lump sum payment (which it is) it will be counted as salary earned for that week. It will then put you over the top of earned salary max for that week to collect unemployment. That leaves the remaining weeks, eligible for unemployment !
I hear that you can only after 4 weeks if you take 4 weeks package.
DXC informs to SSN that you have been paid with n weeks of package.
Just help if you can, @ztl. The resource could be in accounting for all you know.
It is by state, in michigan https://www.michigan.gov/documents/uia_SeverancePay_109001_7.pdf
to find it google AND severance AND "unemployment insurance" There maybe some caveats about wages in lieu of notice. Contact the Unemployment Insurance Agency for your state.
