I keep hearing this from several stores. It's not good.

Last night was the third shift in a row I was sent home early because we’re so dead! Everyone in this ghost town is looking to get out. Hope we all find something at the same time ! Then maybe the managers will come out of the office . IF the store stays open after the new company takes over they NEED to rid of ALL the Mgrs and DMs. this company will NEVER survive with the same people in the same positions. That’s what got us to this place.
During the Summer, when it’s this hot out we used to be packed with people getting into the air conditioning. Been sweltering for days and -nothing.People no longer think of us as a destination. The parking lot across the street. FULL OF CARS. I’ve applied to Target and WalMart. Tired of getting my hours cut. Last week I had 10.5 hours.
This past Friday night and Saturday we sent booksellers home. Had a skeleton crew on Sunday. Vinyl sale did nothing for us.many part timers seeking other jobs to get hours and make money.pretty pathetic.
They won’t even give us the numbers during morning meetings anymore.
What does that tell you?
We don’t even get a shipment ( except for UPS) everyday. Our last shipment was 33 boxes.
The numbers ( or, lack of them) don’t lie.
Yes, compared to last year, this year is much worse.
I hope to have a real job by the fall. Good riddance to this place for losers.
Summer sales are always terrible. Every year, when the weather gets nice, sales drop and everybody panics.
Our sales are horrible!
We send people home EVERY DAY !
It’s pretty sad.
