Newspapers stating once again hundreds of closings into 2020. Guess they know cause we sure don't.

Sears will die when Edward Lampert dies. That simple.
That article is talking about the closings announced end of December/early January along with the stealth closures since. The numbers in total and for each format line up exactly. Eddie has to find a way to pay Citi the 2.2bil he borrowed against future sales, and cutting 1/3 of the store base ain’t it. There probably are going to be a further 7-15 closings this year, but as the holidays loom they need as many stores open as possible.
Eddie said early on he wanted to run with 250 to 275 stores total.

What I think is amazing is that anyone thinks we will still have operating stores in 2020 to close

My friend's cousin's mother's neighbor's plumber's dentist's auto mechanic's stepson overheard a couple people talking about it at McDonalds......so it must be true!
And still no one has named one single newspaper. Until someone names a credible source I think it is all fake news.
Whole article was read " guy " and yes many retail stores mentioned. Under Sears and Kmart it did state hundreds .
Read the whole article guy. It referred to many companies with Sears one of many companies mentioned.
