It's amazing that Eddie's managed to own Sears for 15 years and has gone entirely ignorant the entire time that the discipline even exists. None of the metrics he focuses on acknowledges it, rather, it works against it. He actively destroys vendor relations. He doesn't have the slightest clue about knowledge and resource management or operations. Logistics, asset, and capital allocation and control have been an ever devolving disaster on his watch. There is no operation be it a lemonade stand or a multibillion dollar company that could have met with a positive outcome under these circumstances.

You are absolutely correct. I would add that he has hired people who are unable, unwilling, or paid to run this company to be unprofitable. We are all thinking we are working towards satisfying the customers' requests but really we are fighting processes and managers who aren't customer centric. Who ever posted about innovel is obviously another employee with lack of knowledge of what supply chain really means or brainwashed to think innovel is equal to supply chain. I wonder when this company will understand that promoting friends of managers to management positions got us to where we are... just the peter principle. Eddie is not the only one to blame here
