I thought with the WARN Act, Pearson would be required to give terminated employees 60 days notice instead of the 30 days notice we were given. Am I missing something? Does severance make up for the 30 days or shouldn't it be 2 weeks for every one year worked starting after the 60 day notice?

A company does not have to pay any severance. Since they are paying everyone something, it likely covers this.
