Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Skilled IT Workers are paid more for a reason. Is Lawrie Completely Thick ? !!

I think Lawrie is lacking adequate mental ability. For a CEO not to realise that skilled IT worker are paid more for reason and think school leavers can there place, is certainly not thinking correctly.

I think DXC needs to get a CEO who understands the business and has clear mental thinking. I don't believe Lawrie is competent in either of these.

Sounds like ML is replacing all higher ups with nothing but newbies ... imagine a company run by immature - inexperienced bodies ( not necessarily a negative thing ... it’s just experience). The logic completely baffles common sense.

But you get what you pay for

I was told that I was being moved to Enterprise and Cloud Apps by June 1; however, as of now nothing has happened. I have not heard about the PwC rumor. Do you have any indication about when this will happen?

Just hope that the rumours are true and enterprise and cloud apps are being sold to PwC. Jesus, I’d even take Wipro. Nothing can be worse than Mike Lawrie. The only thing digital about him is his watch. What a clown.

Mikey knows EXACTLY what he is doing - he has planned the breakup of DXC from the very start!

ML is pretty hard to under estimate, he's a gift that keeps on giving. Looking forward to redundancy, sick of the stress, far to many good people let go. In a nutshell, when the client is paying a small fortune per day, they want someone with years of business, coding & culteral experience. Go UK & USA, we know our mustard. Have a nice evening folks xx

He knows exactly what he is doing. He is getting wildly wealthy. The company is succeeding in extracting wealth into his pocket. He uses company money to buy up actual successful companies, then destroys the company while lining his pocket. It is a valid business plan, just not a business I would work for again. I got out as fast as I could once the strategy became clear.

I seriously think ML has lost it.

Yes, you would run a car repair garage, sack all the mechanics and get school leavers in. But this is what Lawrie is in effect doing by replacing the skilled IT workers with school leavers.

I'm sure when Lawrie visits the doctor or dentist he wouldn't want to see a school leaver doing the job.

Even though the school leaver could operate the dentists drill. :-)

If DXC is to succeed, getting less skilled cheaper people who aren't able to supply what the customer needs isn't a good plan. :-(
