They pulled all the gift card right before they filed for BK back in October. Could be a sign of things to come.
Gift cards pulled, again. This does not go unnoticed as we sell many. What message is this sending?
I wish it was imminent, this company is such a embarrassment to work for.
Why on earth would you think this will Chapter 7. Eddie kept a larger store base out of bankruptcy for close to a decade with massive losses and a huge debt load. You really think he can’t get this to an IPO and pay the debt off again? He’s got a clean balance sheet now, shed worthless leases and he has lines of credit. This will meander on for years. Not necessarily in a pretty fashion, but don’t expect him to pull the plug on this, he will make a ton of cash when he IPOs the new sears combined with hometown. Then it’ll probably be another 3-4 years after that before it’s bankrupt.
Given the sorry state of retail it’s almost guaranteed they’re going to get increased sales just because there are fewer places to shop.
No it won't they'll continue to run as a museum forever....some of the Kenmore elite stuff is pretty slick manufactured from 2015-present, and could leave the remaining push mowers left have a couple manual powered and a 40v Craftsman battery powered in mint condition, the hand stitched Stearns and foster beds, die hard boots....think I found the pink pony
