Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Snakes in the grass....Centurylink has no customers ........we work for snakes

While the customers sued CenturyLink itself, the company says the customers weren't actually customers of CenturyLink. Instead, CenturyLink says they were customers of 10 subsidiaries spread through the country.

We work for these Snakes this is appalling

they are blaming it on Century tel, Embarq ,etc......

Impertinent Rabble here, not a snake, CTL parolee. Just seems to me that if people are trying to drum up outrage, pick newer articles. It's a known issue.

All you need to do is look at your W2 forms to see who is writing the actual checks, the original company you worked for has their name on them. Sneaky and Snarky but actually true in essence.

Fact that CenturyLink is credited with the profits on the Stock market but makes no money needs to be looked at I guess as embezzlement from these smaller companies since they have no customers.

This and other things in this list of topics bring to mind what they say and what they do. Actions speak louder then words and these are their words and we can see by topics what the actions are or are not.

Fairness We will: • Treat others as we would like to be treated. • Exercise fairness in all dealings with customers, business associates and fellow employees.

Well after you catch your breath and get off the ground from laughing your a-- off at this statement and how our Executives use it or don't use it you can continue reading.

Honesty and Integrity We will: • Be truthful and demonstrate integrity in all our dealings. • Act ethically and do the right thing, even when it’s difficult and even if it takes longer.

Well I have been waiting for them to do the right thing in every instance and am still waiting, from how they treat our customers, provide support to our workers, and compensate them, also waiting for them to allocate resources to support the Network and the facilities that provide services.

Integrity and ethics I guess were taught by a on line training course they must of deleted, Honesty as well.

Since they stealth fire and surplus everyone as well as throw out huge amounts of propaganda and refuse to be up front in negotiations with both internal and external entity's we know that that whole statement is what we want you to do but not what we do.

Commitment to Excellence We will: • Perform our jobs at the highest level each day. • Focus on serving our customers—both internal and external. • Produce quality work while continuously becoming more efficient and effective for long term success. • Commit to winning in our markets and to being the performance leader in our industry.

Another bold face lie, the Craft and lower level Management Crews do this every day. The Upper levels however are trying to sell it off, don't market in many areas to win customers or have conceded them. They want to be disassociated with being a RBOC and are doing everything they can it appears to set up it failing. Detest having the FCC and Government regulations tell them they simply can't abandon those customers and products such as 911 and Emergency services.

They feel their Industry is not a RBOC but a Data services provider and highway for it.

Sorry if you want to race a Ferrari buy a Ferrari, you bought a Minivan that's multi functional and can carry a bit of everything. But you want Ferrari performance.

Positive Attitude We will: • Approach our work with enthusiasm and an “anything is possible” spirit. • Encourage one another to try new things even when difficult as we recognize that excellent outcomes often come from having the courage to fail. • Build and sustain a positive atmosphere. • Promote family and fun while we engage in productive and challenging work.

This is a separation of the classes hard to do any of this with them cutting people, processes, every week and month and not communicating anything well.

They may feel enthusiastic and positive, but very hard for the people affected by their decisions to be when your coworkers are being surpluses or eliminated left and right and not support for the current and or other processes needed to do our jobs.

Respect We will: • Recognize and respect each employee, each customer, each shareholder and each business associate as individuals deserving our compassion. • Build relationships through inclusion, collaboration and responsiveness – everyone’s input and time counts and every idea can have an impact. • Be responsive to others and keep the promises we make to one another. • Encourage and consider different perspectives.

Can we say BS and just move on, the only inclusion is the Surplus list. They don't want to hear what's not working or what the problems are for achieving what they would like to happen.

Faith We will: • Maintain confidence in our abilities as individuals to perform our jobs effectively. • Trust in one another’s capabilities, expertise, and experience to deliver our best. • Have confidence that the strength of our combined, collaborative efforts will lead us to a successful future.

The first sentence is factual in many instances for those that were here ten years or more, the rest have not had access to tool and training to facilitate the rest, can't trust people who ask you how to do their job.

Perseverance We will: • Carry out our Vision in a manner consistent with our Unifying Principles in spite of obstacles. • Be creative and innovative as we face challenges and respond to opportunities. • Be flexible and embrace change. • Not give up.

Really this says do what we say we want you to do, don't bring up obstacles, be a yes man, and work till we lay you off due to not listening ever to those that actually perform the functions of the job in spite of the difficulties you put in front of them from uninformed decisions.

"That sole defendant, CenturyLink, Inc., is a parent holding company that has no customers, provides no services, and engaged in none of the acts or transactions about which Plaintiffs complain," CenturyLink wrote. "There is no valid basis for Defendant to be a party in this Proceeding: Plaintiffs contracted with the Operating Companies to purchase, use, and pay for the services at issue, not with CenturyLink, Inc."

warm fuzzy feel good stuff right here
