Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

This is obviously not working

With Level 3 management running the show it can't be good. All they know is get rid of good people and keep taking what little is left from the technicians. Someone please step in and turn this company around. Obviously what they are doing is not working.

Similar to CenturyTel's strategy, except more aggressive on the purging side.

after 20 yrs in telecom everyone knows the Level3 method , how they have survived is by merging and purging its that simple but they have never taken on such a huge challenge as Legacy Qwest / CenturyLink. To keep investors and Wall street interested they will keep cutting until the Company and CEO switch hands again. The Layoffs never stop EVER ! they will rehire , contract out whenever they deem it necessary . There are always a few " safe positions " of course like National field techs living in very remote areas who they need to cover several remote sites , sometimes up to 10 buildings and they do all the installing of new equipment by them selves . the rest of the time they are switching out failing cards or working fiber cuts for 24 hours straight with no relief.
