Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Cons (& a Pro) of DXC

CONS.. Health warning... There are a few.. (Most (other than actual knowns) gleaned from.corporate lovely dovey Skype calls and wasted management %£#% meetings)

  1. No pay increases, bonuses, staff incentives and such for YEARS ..con..:

  2. Oh...hang on... yes there are now pay increases.... Wayhey....That's the Pro!....?

  3. Oh..ok....can only put 10% of team through per quarter (hmmmm... 40% per year?).. Balloon deflates!!!!??.......... Con

  4. All pay increase requests go stateside (& from what I'm lead to believe) to ML himself.... why? 'cause he knows you, and how hard you are working for our customers... And who are customers actually are... and what you actually do for them..Yeah??... Con.

  5. If you have been put are forward for a pay increase (lucky you! And I mean it as we all deserve a chance ) you won't know unless you are successful... Congrats if you are. So happy you.. Genuinely ( with my begging bowl in hand.... Joke ) ... If not successful you won't know... But you never knew you were up for one in the first place. So that's ok. No disappointment (nope.. Not a pro..). Ok. All clear..Btw.. Con

  6. If you are successful it takes over 6 months for it to be approved and your increase is from the date of approval.. Not from the date of submission.... Ok..so if good enough for a pay increase 6+ months ago why not backdated? ... Con

  7. If not successful you can't be put forward for another increase for (at least) 12 months (bearing in mind the 10% per quarter), even if you have the top grade and work, by hard graft and compassion, for our (not MLs.. He ain't got a clue) customers..... Con

  8. If you are one of the lucky one s to get an increase and you get promoted you can't be considered for another pay increase until At last 12 months after you last one even you are being massively underpaid for the job you do... errr ..Con

  9. You work hard for your customer, get amazing feedback and get an a great grade at your yearly review.. Pro.... Only you've. not done this one corporate objective that you can't possibly ever achieve on the customer account you are on. You are therefore bumped down a grade. Clever work ML!... Con

Yay.. I'm feeling motivated.. you?

  1. If you dare speak out about any of this you get down graded. Not that it makes a difference to.your pay packet anyway... Con

  2. You get a good grade, good feedback.. Perform well. They want to keep you so no chance of any of the WFR coming through.. Con

  3. Sorry ... There are no pros. But finally..

13..not supposed to be ironic being 13th but on a recent staff survey over 60 % ( with over 20% not willing to respond) said they were stressed due to work. What has been done about it.. nothing...... CON.

The reason pay increases go to ML is so that HR can get them and then target that person for WFR.

Yes every pay rise does have to get personally signed off by ML, and as he famously doesn't use a computer it really is signed off.

I'm one of the lucky ones and I've got a pay rise in DXC, and so can confirm 2 more parts of the post- it took 8 months to process, and it's not backdated.
