Cant believe the amount of redundancies that are going on and cut backs yet the company are still in the process of converting contingency workers..

Witnessing the same thing here, it's insane. We've been converting people and trying to hire more at the same time we're getting hit with layoffs. We aren't going to have enough people to do everything for our client, and they're already p-ss-d at us.
The rumors and theories here have been about DXC splitting off and/or selling the traditional ITO business...but if you tank all the contracts like this what will be left to sell?
They know. They just don't care.
Wouldn't transitioned over at all to this company - not worth your stress or any stress that could forgo your partners and children welfare / damage to important family relationships.
Just move on, don't join at all and seek a better position outside this chaos.
Contingent workers that willingly convert to permanents must be crackers and should check-in to the nearest loony asylum. Meanwhile Mikey is laughing all the way to the bank with the savings that are kicking into his pocket. Sack the lot of the contingents so they all learn about life.
The right hand has always been busy at the top in DXC.
