Punch tool working. No internet, no KIN, can't take debit or credit and can't ship out online orders. Can't wait for the great tent sale!!
WFM and punch tool is back up.

3 day recovery time is unprecedented for an eComm company, large or small. Lack of technical skilled people shows.

The most telling thing is that Target had a brief outage a couple weeks ago and it made national news. Sears is on day 3 and no one knows.
All bug ticket item sales are affected as people cannot redeem or earn points.
Well. This is what happens when management thinks it knows it all and that people aren’t treated as value. Eventually, it all goes to hell

This c-ap is still down today I can only imagine during the weekend when visitors are showing up and they can't use their credit cards. I am sure they will love that!
Don't try picking up your existing orders either.
DAY 3 of this fiasco.
I'm a regular shopper, but don't remember if the payment systems were ever down for this long in the past.
The vendors who used to support these systems had backup experts who used to be brought in on issues like this. And Sears had in house experts too. Both are gone and now they just have some clueless greenhorns who faked through their interviews.
SYW.com is at least partially operational. They’ve got the points and purchase histories up. Probably has to be rolled out to the rest of the network. The system is old this will probably take hours.
We cant take any credit or debit cards today. System down.
Network is still not up this morning. Still no soap in the bathrooms. Still no working printers.
Well this is what you get when you don’t take care of the people who run your critical business systems. Surprised it didn’t happen sooner. Sears systems are old and fragile and anyone that had knowledge to keep them running was either let go, ran away or left when their contracting firm wasn’t paid. Guess you didn’t keep the right people after all Eddie, nice work there with employee retention. Here’s a news flash to Eddie and his minions - your people were your greatest and only real asset and you totally missed and messed that up.

A&E Service's tech hub and routing department was down along with the warranty department for sales. Lol they lost a lot of potential warranty sales today. Hopefully it stays down. Probably a old employee sears screwed over and he or she was a secret super hacker lol...
You left out a lot. Web orders, Innovel/Delivery, Punch tool...basically every store in the company is without internet. Registers can still process transactions though.

Spare us the hysteria.
While not insignificant, problems arose upgrading the Mainframe Servers. Store operations including Credit card, Layaway, Gofer and SYW transactions are impacted.
Should be up and running Thursday morning, at which time store Servers and Registers will need to be rebooted.
