Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Should I stay or go?

So I have a guaranteed job with Gyrodata. I’m nervous to switch after being with WFT for a year now (wireline).

I don’t want to leave WFT for greener grass that turns out to be poison ivy.

I’m getting semi-decent hours and I like who I work with and all. I used to be proud of my job and happy.

You guys think I should jet or stay?

I’d go. There are a few higher up people there that were long time weatherford managers. Good people who WFT chased off and replaced with the incompetent t–ds you live with today. Best to work for a healthier company in the end. Leaving weatherford was the best decision I ever made. My stress levels are gone. I make more money. We are busier than wft has been in this region since 2015. Our tools are better than wft’s. Frankly I work for good people something I thought I’d never see again.

Go before they walk you and your boxes out the door. Better to leave on your own terms; get your bugout bag ready because you may need it. Sale to Hal looks imminent and they already have one of you.

Have you ever seen the Ikea advert where the wife is running to the call yelling for hubby to start the car as she fears its was too good to be true.

If someone tosses you a life line out of this company you take it.....start the car mate !

I think The Clash said it best:

Darling you got to let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

If you say that you are mine

I'll be here 'til the end of time

So you got to let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

It's always tease, tease, tease

You're happy when I'm on my knees

One day it's fine and next it's black

So if you want me off your back

Well, come on and let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

Should I stay or should I go now?

Should I stay or should I go now?

If I go, there will be trouble

And if I stay it will be double

So come on and let me know

This indecision's bugging me (esta indecisión me molesta)

If you don't want me, set me free (si no me quieres, librarme)

Exactly whom I'm supposed to be (dígame que tengo ser)

Don't you…

Man......if you are serious about this question you most have no idea of WFT’s history or any sense of the industry current situation.

WFT will sink, it’s just a matter of months. some id--ts that still work there think they can turn the company around. Well..... upper management does not want that, so you better man up and start looking for a job.

You really have to poll an anonymous board as to whether or not to take a job? Don’t you know any ‘real’ people? If I were the hiring manager I wouldn’t touch you with a 10 foot pole.

Go to Gyro - Data as I can guarantee you are on a RIF list somewhere! Maybe no today but sooner than later! As noted earlier there have been a few ex WFT people join them lately! Don’t feel you owe them anything as they won’t really care if you stay or leave?

There are some ex-WFT people at GyroData. You can work with them. They are good.
