"Aurelius Warns Frontier Communications Against Chapter 11: Hedge-fund manager said Frontier should instead pursue a multibillion-dollar debt swap"

"... The company has nearly $17 billion in debt and is coping with cord-cutting consumers that have left it scrambling to delay the debt obligations that financed its expansion. Investors like Aurelius and GoldenTree Asset Management LP have been jockeying to influence Frontier’s restructuring tactics, pitting different bondholders against each other ..."

"Aurelius, a hedge-fund manager known for investing in distressed businesses, is both a shareholder and bondholder..."

"Aurelius is a cancer. I'm sure they will bankrupt Frontier and cash in on credit swaps like they did with Windstream"

WE was a train-wreck teetering on the verge of Chapter 11 without Aurelius help. The executive leadership at WE had this all planned out - this is all working as they knew it would. This 'helped' them go into Chapter 11 and allow the leadership team now to re-work many of the contracts to WE's favor, among other things.

Chapter 11 was planned out years in advance, they just waited until the moment was right. This wasn't 'accidental' as they are implying. Live in the real world,

Aurelius has a heavy position with FTR. If FTR fails they will take a hit just like WIN did. There will be lots of changes on the horizon, they also brought consultants on board to help with the financial transition. Chapter 11 is most likely in the coming weeks. They are suppose to announce Q2 earnings in July I would expect their filing with the courts by then. If people think that WIN is a mess look at the books for FTR. They announced the sale of assets for cash from the Pacific Northwest operations, I would expect others to follow. WINMQ will announce sales of assets as soon as they can get court approval.

Not a fan of WS in general however....Why didn't Windstream 'Leadership' simply request permission regarding the sell / lease back deal prior to implementing to avoid this court loss? Of course leadership continues to prosper while ALL OTHERS do not. Who is worse between these two groups? My opinion is obviously the greedy, unethical POS Tony and his scum gang of lackies.
