Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC Raises

Six years rated as far exceeds, never gotten a raise. Management wants us to quit.

They want the traditional IT services business in the US to implode because they don't think that they can make money in it.

They want all the workers in that business to get frustrated and leave so they don't have to pay out. They are probably surprised so many have stuck around this long.

I'm close to retirement so I am weighing my choices, but I'm starting to face the fact that after a while (maybe this week) I won't have a choice.

Sure, take these courses on behalf of our unethical employer. If they were honest, we wouldn't continually hear these lame excuses about no pay raises. All of the years under HP and HPE were the same thing, and prior to that with EDS for a number of years. Go through these BS exercises, waste time doing them, and then you are told there is no money for training or pay raises, but we want to grow your career!

I got this from my manager today. Has no teeth since those in the Americas were pretty much told last week that we were not going to get raises.

As DXC employees, we are all asked to review and complete various corporate training courses (e.g. “Code of Business and Clear Values” ,and the ‘Secure the Human’ to name a few ).

These and other assigned courses are considered mandatory training for DXC employees.

Timely completion of these mandated training courses has always been audited.

Going forward if these training courses are not completed to the published schedule the employee will not be eligible to receive a salary increase for the yearly performance cycle.

What do I need to do?

  • Same thing as always. Monitor your DXC email account. Communications on when to take these courses is sent out via email. Pay attention to the schedule for completion and complete the training PRIOR to the end date.

Kinda same boat, 3 years of exceeds and single handedly taking on two projects and zero money. When I left, all of sudden, there's money. Yeah, cause now projects might fail and we cant have that....

I’m in exactly the same boat as you. I’m hoping for a lay-off so I can retool a little and work for a real company.

When they cut my severance from 22 weeks to 8...raised my benefits costs for the 5th year running, 'rewarded me' with a zero or sub-inflation raise for the 6th year running despite hitting exceeds every time, I finally told them I had had enough and quit. My Puerto Rico based manager had to ask me what projects and clients I was working on so he could arrange handover...but they never identified anyone for me to handover to. We've lost that client subsequently.

They still managed to shaft me after I left...screwing up my last pay check, my vacation, my 401k match, and my W2.

Once they cut the severance, they don't even care if you hang around...it's not like they
