Are there layoff happening? I heard that there were people let go today.

Your mistake? Okay clearly this website is the only place you get attention in your miserable life. F— off and quit screwing with people when you know nothing.
My mistake, its actually July 30th.
July 23rd. Oh really?
If layoffs are going down tomorrow, get out of your office around 9:00am and take a walk on the second floor. If guards are posted at every station, then you might assume layoffs are going down.
Layoffs always happen on Tuesday's. Is the 23rd merely speculation or does someone have something substantial to post that date?
Layoffs are always midweek. Never a Monday or a Friday.
What’s hilarious is how the mid level managers are walking around trying to keep the next tech reorg a secret.
July 23st
July 23??????? Is that when the next layoff is occurring?
July 23rd
Whoever said approximately 15 percent marketing/land/land admin/production reporting laying off next. Next time give a timeline or just shut up. You made it sound like it was going to happen last week and it didn't.
Lots of flirting and a-- kissing going on lately in hopes of people keeping their jobs.
Studies have shown there’s less of chance of an incident if these things occur on a Friday.
Must be happening next week right before the holiday
Waiting until Friday?? Or for the holiday?
What employee expense is in "OpEx"? Does it include more than employees in the field? What about corporate employees that do some work for operations like land and part of finance? What about people who don't do work for operations like exploration and part of finance?
I think he said about 15% of the Market and Land dept; he did not say 15% overall. Carlson's Marketing, Land and Prod'n Reporting dept is overhead and not ops. One thing for sure, 16 accountants will not get Noble to that op. expense goal. IMHO, 15% of service and corp employees sound a little low. Even if you don't lose a job this is still going to be a nasty place to work. Course it is now.
I don’t believe that the post about ~15% cut is accurate...
It hasn’t happened yet.
how many people were let go in Marketing and Land today? Anyone know?
I hear the next wave is ~15% from Marketing, Land Admin and Land Operations. They’re prioritizing survey reviews in order to cut some of the supervisors and managers.
Layoffs, selling assets, and the open secret that midstream is for sale. Definitely a company that’s on the upswing
EFBU Manager released today. Broad reorg of USO Division announced with “sr leadership” roles filled and announced. More to come.
Some Managers needs to go in denver . Lead engineers too
Looks like layoffs are coming. How many layoffs have there been?
Obviously the IT guy didn’t kiss enough
a-- e s in his management chain to keep his job. Plus the fact that he was good at his job. Noble managers like to get rid of people who could take their jobs.
@1njy I am not sure how to react to your post. I am sad for that helpful guy that was let go off and so I would like to press the negative rating but your comment is good so I would like to press the positive rating. Is anyone else confused about how to use the thumbs up or down here?
Does anyone know how this will affect the NBLX side?
More to come over the coming weeks. KF’s org was just the start
I just learned that one person was let go from IT that we worked with. Wow I am speechless. He was the only one who listened to the business and helped us with the IT issues. WTH who will we talk to now. All other are snobs and jerks
some really good ones were dismissed along with some furniture. Noble ignored WARN law again because NBL is run by jerks. KR prolly wanted to go first so the ambush would belong to him. What a guy.
What I heard was 50 people altogether occurring on Tuesday through Thursday each of the next 3 weeks. 34 to go.
Finally managers and leads let go. Some directors in the future. Say what you want but about damn time. Too top heavy at Noble.
I bet the best were let go and the s---ing up kind had their jobs saved. Love the Noble Culture ;)
Yeah. Finance/IT had 16ish people let go today. Probably the same coming for other orgs soon
