Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Seems there may be more to the craziness?

The CEO of MGA is constantly posting emotional, personal and childish posts on linkedin and threatening emails and in media appearances.

Impressively unprofessional. How can a guy with so little emotional restraint or common respect expect to negotiate a deal, or worse, in a hostile take over, lead a company?

He doesn't realize that Mattel is not just IP. Its as much the people and passion, commitment and respect they bring. As bad as it is today, we stay. But it'd be a mass exodus under this guy.

I recently read his emails and he's pretty much an a**hat.

Isaac has his points with his hostile tone. People here are former/current employees that are in the state of hopeless despair in which they desire to vent out their frustrations.

Love him or hate him, at least he's passionate about the toy business and fully committed to it. Regarding your half-thought that "Mattel is all about its people": how proud are you of Margaret G, our TOP PERSON who kept quiet, didn't tweet anything, did nothing and skated off into the sunset with 31 MILLION DOLLARS? And why are the freaking id--t board members who picked her still here? Those are your PEOPLE OF MATTEL, who IMHO are more embarrassing than the people of Walmart! Business as usual at Mattel.
