Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Black Swan event planned for US economy (HON is expecting a strong bear market this Q3/Q4)

Watch out!

For layoffs, pay cuts, hiring freeze etc and shutdowns. There is a big bear market and this will cause a severe economic recession this year. Baby boomers out and millennial come into the force (trickle trickle).

This one will be very bad and a sunset phase across the USA. Take care of each other and your loved ones.

1) Be good to each other.

2) Don't blame or criticize one another.

3) Kindness, patience and empathy goes a long way.

4) Kindness builds Character and it builds strength.

5) Help each other because it is they human way.

6) Ignore the survivalists and psychopaths. They will not make it too far.

7) United we stand, divided we fall—never forget!

The American spirit is the most resilient spirit and it has always rebounded from setbacks. This too shall pass.

Layoff is always happening in the background. It is just branded by different names such as consolidation of various types, transfers, etc

It is done in a way it is under the radar of the news cycle

I think you mean predicted or forecast.

The guidance to leaders has been calling for this in 2019-2020. Other companies have been getting the same guidance for a while.

Thus contributes to plans for RIFs for sure.

-jya: Well said. The very definition of a Black Swan financial event is "unplanned".

From: Investopedia https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/blackswan.asp

What is a Black Swan:

A black swan is an event or occurrence that deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and is extremely difficult to predict. Black swan events are typically random and unexpected.

Lol. Sounds like OP is a guilt ridden ALT member. Love the use of “planned” and “black swan” in same headline.

Completely agree that mood has shifted decided negative for second half of year.

Stock up on that unlimited vacation time now.

Meanwhile .. true demand signals are great ... apparently weapons of mass destruction is a safer investment than corn flakes.
