Any update regarding the rumor to sell off of Ford Credit to Barclay's while that finance subsidiary is still turning a decent profit.

This cant be true, can it? Only a complete fool would sell off that prized asset.
That's no rumor, that is fact. A Dearborn insider said this already underway. It will have full focus mid July and is to be completed before the end of September. The only unknown is what will Barclays keep and what will they assimilate into their operation? Ford Credit is mainly databases that can be transferred to any location. True for customer services, dealer services, and risk management.
It's another sad moment in the long demise of Ford. Ford Credit is profitable at this point and will bring big bucks. What "THE BIG BRAIN" and our leadership Yes-Men can't see is that they will be k--ling the Golden Goose that has saved them during so many downturns in the past. What for? A very substantial yet short term profit. Then what? Gnashing of teeth during the next downturn.
