Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Over 50 and at Ford

If you are over 50, do you still care about your work at Ford? Are you engaged?

age=58, years=37

Planned to retire at 60.

I love and care about the work I do.

I have seen many changes over the years. Some good, some bad.

This is the worse time in terms of anxiety and stress. Everyone seems to be affected. I feel sorry for the younger employees. They will never experience security. I guess that my time at Ford will come to an end soon. Feel young and planning my next career. Looking forward to getting out of a cube. Will miss my colleagues.

100% Engaged right up to the end. Was let go in March, worked till my time ran out so I could look after my people. I always saw myself as an agent of the shareholder, but also took the responsibility of managing my employees as a high honor.
