Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

How will those let go transfer work?

Is the work going to be forgotten? Projects disappear without a trace?

I feel like I might be selected. Over the last few weeks, I have organized documents and placed in the shared drive and captured information and wrote up notes about projects for whomever may have to work on them. Tried to make things easy for the next person. Not doing it for PXD, just trying to help out the poor ex-coworker who has to stay and pick up the work. I'm fine with moving on and the package is generous given the job market. No need to make the next person's life any more difficult and I have no reason to burn bridges. I had a good run. Now I wait.

If you’re one of the ones let go, do you really CARE how transition will go? Seems like that’s their problem!

Sad times. Good luck all, on whatever side you end up.

The work/projects probably won't. As the email said, "four weeks of pay in lieu of notice." The day they tell you is the day you are gone. Everyone who is left will have to pick up the pieces of whatever projects/work is left. Good luck everyone.

Oh, and I've seen that some interns start On Wednesday 5/22/2019 in some groups... You don't want it interns seeing that c-ap, so Monday/Tuesday it's going to be lit.

What does it matter? Work on whatever they want you to work on.
