"Windstream's operations are continuing the momentum we saw in 2018," Tony Thomas, Windstream's president and chief executive officer, said in a morning teleconference. The company began the year with a solid quarter marked by record consumer broadband growth, adding over 11,400 subscribers."
After the competitors rise up off the floor from laughing themselves off their chairs, cable will still do what it has always done to get WINMQ customer to jump ship - have faster broadband speeds and decent customer care.
"We stand alone among major U.S. telecom service providers with 14 consecutive months of consumer broadband subscriber growth through April, as well as our strongest quarterly broadband growth since 2011," Thomas said."
After more laughing from WINMQ's competitors, they will realize that TT is correct on one thing - they do stand alone on how the executive team's Chapter 11 plan the last 4 years worked perfectly to s--- the company dry of any usable funds.
One thing that TT forgot to add - "Windstream is the best among major U.S. telecom service providers in getting more money for our executives through doing nothing than anyone else. And our employees are very driven, even though we purposely haven't given them raises over the last 5 years, they love their jobs so much and will work as many hours as we ask them, because they are dedicated WIN employees. We feed them lies every day and they believe us, even when our own executive teams shake their heads in shock."
TT is good at making money disappear.
WOW! Things are somehow WAY worse than expected. But the RARA b---s--- still continues lol. We are turning the corner and going up market blah blah blah. $2B in losses in 1qtr, holy sh--. So what would have happened if the execs didnt get those HUGE bonuses? Would they have jumped ship? Would their quality of work reduce even further? That was simply their golden parachute before the end of Windstream.
It's too bad the judge wont reverse his decision. Maybe the judge plays golf with Tony. Maybe he's going on his next trip around the world
How about the 2 billion operating loss in 1st quarter. Is that because they had to tell the truth for the 1st time ever?
I know I’m sure they had some 1 time losses.
Total liabilities ends up to be about $10.3B in debt. $635M 90 days past due in accounts receivable. $432M is cash i the bank. Some how the courts approved the KEIP and KERP? This all strategic on Tonys part. We announce earnings the day AFTER we had a major court date. We announce bankruptcy the the AFTER he renews his contract.
