If the MC already knows where they are going to be placing people, why not just go ahead and tell everyone? For the people who’m aren’t going to have a job, it would be great for those people to have the opportunity to find something before getting let go. That way there isn’t a line at every company hiring all at once. Any kind of communication from MC would be nice rather than just hearing all the rumors floating around in people’s heads and being left in the dark about every aspect of what’s going on.

Lol not applying because you like working at pioneer is really dumb. You can apply and only accept if you get laid off. Loyalty to a publicly traded company over your own personal interest is pure insanity.

What’s stops people from interviewing now is the fact that some of us actually do enjoy working for Pioneer. Those of us that do, don’t want to actively search for something else if we don’t need to.
