The union has a seat on the unsecured creditors committee (UCC). Has the union shared any insights with local members?
(It’s possible that the people on the UCC are legally constrained in publicly blabbing what they’re discussing in closed door negotiations)
The UCC is confidential. The CWA head counsel said they have weekly meetings but nothing being discussed is allowed in the public until they go to their first court hearing and start to enter things into records. That is all the CWA counsel can say at this point, other than WS said they are not going to challenge any labor contracts (yes, we will still get our raises this year, don't know about non bargaining) and not touch the pension plans that are out there.
