Is Eddie role playing the villain of an Ayn Rand novel?

Eddie used to talk a lot about Ayn Rand. Fine, Amazon's Jeff Bezos talks about her too, and that obviously worked out. Eddie seems to be playing the part of a particular character though, James Taggert, the antagonist of Atlas Shrugged, who does everything he can through incompetence and bufoonery to obstruct the success of one of the companies that used to be the backbone of America, fighting the heroes of the novel who are doing everything they can to modernize and make changes at every turn. Could it be this is what he's been after all along? Some sort of self hatred where he deliberately makes the worst possible decision at every turn, costing jobs, losing billions, and destroying one of America's institutions, becoming one of the most hated people in the country? If so, he's playing the character perfectly.

Could be. Stranger things have happened. There is the aspect though where I think he feels like he's getting over in everyone. Except he never does.
