Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

GE has become a real mess

And I say that as a long time worker that seen good and bad times at the company. Layoffs are always on the table, the leadership looks indecisive in what direction they want to take the company in, parts are being sold and debt is piling up. It has reached a stage where I as a veteran is thinking about leaving. I would advise the younger employees to seek their fortunes elsewhere, while they can, chances are that nothing good can come from this.

You’re right! BOZO and Cornstock need to be put in prison right along with Meltdown .... these CEO’s robbing companies blind leaving people jobless and pension less need to be put in jail! It’s legalized theft and it’s time people stood up ... you or me would go to prison for writing a bad $250.00 check meanwhile these thieves stole millions !

Incredible as nobody talks about S BOZO and his last years leading Power... that was a massive cover-up with misleading guidance to investors and employees. I don't believe he was following orders... And we only hear about JRI and his 2 jets.

Meltdown wasn’t the scapegoat but an exceptional thief while the snoots were too busy spell checking PowerPoint slides...it lost its ethics, morals, and character a long time ago.... just like the original pst states..

Immelt was just a public scapegoat. GE has been rotten for a long time, but people were too busy with PowerPoint & worthless certifications to notice.

As a long time employee, I have to agree with the original post. With regard to when it went off the rails, it has been happening for some time but the last several years especially since Trian joined the board pushing for more debt and stock buy back have put it over the edge. Immelt was a failure as CEO and the board did not perform it's duty for oversight and audit.
