Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Can the delay of the merger produce layoff?

Seems to me like a sensible question, given the current situation. A lot of money has been put into this and obviously the halt in the whole process is burning money, as we speak. Is that situation going to escalate to a point that they will need to cut cost via layoffs? Ho likely is that scenario?

Please God, I swear I will never ask you for another thing ever again. Let this thing fall apart so we can sit with popcorn watching the executives get booted one by one. New leadership from the top to the division level is all that can save us now. I’ll say it again. They can call us a health care Company all they want. We are not. We are a pharmacy retailer like it our not. It’s like waking up one day a declaring to the world that you are a llama when your are clearly human.

The real question we should be asking is what happens if the judge rules against the merger, and orders the companies to separate. And for anyone who says he can’t do that, just look at how far he’s taken this court hearing so far! It’s rare for a judge to go this far in reviewing a merger, but here we are, and right now the momentum has swung in favor of those who oppose this merger, like the American Medical Association. So yes indeed this merger is in trouble! And if it fails, the stuff will hit the fan!
