Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Toxic Store manager

Has just s---ed all the fun out of working at our sears. He is new to our store since his closed last year and every since he came it’s been so depressing just to be in the store period

I thought store managers were supose to keep his team upbeat and enthused

Everyone at my store is looking for another job because of this guy

He refuses to deal with irate customers doesn’t help on register because apparently doesn’t know how to run one and doesn’t even have enough pride to have his picture up at package pick up as all managers before did

He has turned a fun and happy place to work into misery for all

Isn’t there a code of conduct that they have to uphold to have the

store manager job

Once was a happy group of employees doing their best everyday working together is now just a toxic sh--hole thanks to this Guy

We just got a new manager. Apparently he's spent his 2 years with the company closing stores. Not sure what that means for our store, but it's very clear this manager has zero people skills. I expect a manager to introduce themselves to their employees. This guy doesn't engage anyone at all. Getting him to talk is like pulling teeth. He's ok 1 on 1. It also doesn't help that his background is with Kmart and he knows very little about operations at Sears.

It's almost like they're wanting us to fail by giving us inexperienced leadership.

Sounds like he's burnt out. Maybe he will just hide in his office and be depressed and let you guys run the store. Better than someone b--ching at you all day.

Eddie does not want the company to truly succeed....His goal is to sell off everything and pocket the proceeds.

Aside from this, any manager with talent and professionalism would have left this company long ago.

Sounds like my store manager when I use to work at my store. I don't know why anyone would stay at a store and keep the hopes up. Start looking unless you can bare with the mental and physical abuse. Its not gona get any better at any stores you will keep seeing cuts, work loads added and much stress at work. Sears isnt a long term thing its matter of time before it files for Chapter 7.

Interesting... it took a mean manager to get everyone looking for another job instead of working for a bankrupt company with limited benefits, stagnant wages and , no job security

And I’ll bet you have the same amount of customers/traffic in the store then you did with Disneyland Dad
