Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Here in the front lines this uncertainty is killing us

I for one cannot embrace this culture of uncertainty... Let's say I've been with the "company " for YEARS and have seen many charges happen. However, this morphing is different don't think this company knows what it wants to be, how to integrate it, and what to do with it. Oh, they have a public version (don't look behind the curtain) all is going to be rainbows and unicorns however, here in the front lines this uncertainty is killing us. Cut hours to make the numbers look great but, they expect the work to be done ?

I for one am done and am just running out the clock (along with others).

I feel pretty much the same way as @Yjv3HQ6-3bqy . Good post!!!

In my area 2 DM's are leaving (one says it feels like a weight's been lifted off his shoulders), rumors of managers looking & leaving. Three managers have had heart issues ! Employees stressed, some are just "Done" and are riding out the clock, morale is at an all time low. New RX/DM disrespects older/longtime workers, which who by the way helped build the once great CVS company....

Just saying

In my district we have all good decent managers and a district leader that doesnt make excuses for the poor management of the company. The tries to run the district without the insecurity of intimidation as most of the others I have . The leader does not seem intimidated by the childish demands of the regional. I do not know of any one who works over 50 hours week and nearly all 45.

If you want to kill yourself and family life do to working all the time...go for it.

CVS does not care if they replace you because you retire, stroke, heart failure, or you just quit. It's all the same to them.

We agree on that . Shame on the DLs that do not hold people accountable. Like the guy in the previous post who is daring someone to write them up.

In my district we have hard working people who bust their onions, and those who know how to milk the system. It’s those who bust their hump that get nothing, and those who work the system (think bosses pet) that get whatever they want. And then their is the DL that does nothing about it.

I work with people like you in my district.

They complain the most and work the least. Can’t find them in the store and then they quit.

Doing other things outside of work like catering or buying things and reselling and then blame CVS for having no time.

Good luck making it to retirement.

I'm going down with the ship....not really, but am getting close to retirement, working 45 hrs, no more, no less. I listen to the objectives, react accordingly and dont put up with the bs. CVS is always preaching to identify the root cause. Obviously they do not. I look at it as.l: "WHO OWNS THE PROBLEM?" If it is me, I react, if it is not me, it waits until I get to it.

Planograms can wait.

If I get fired it wont be for misconduct, therefore available for unemployment. If they want to dispute, I would be happy to subpoena their time analysis reports to give the demand hours.

I cant wait for the first accountability paperwork.

How bad can leadership be... the CEO made 21.9 million for his superb job in 2018!

Ran far away last year, with no idea of what I wanted to do, because I read between the lines. Even after 9 years, I knew when sh-- started to hit the fan that no one would protect me but me. Still in retail but I make $1 more than when I left and I have my dream position. Not where I want to be forever, but better than C-appily Valued Slaves ANY DAY...
