Our area is sending people to WAH. Should we assume it’s so that they can later let us go?

Coming to the office just to be in the office does not guarantee productivity specially if you have no Team members present in the office anyway and working from home is a much logical option. This company over the past years have adopted really questionable policies that really is a detrimental to associates moral. This used to be a good company to work for but unfortunately those days are long gone.

This toxic anti-employeed culture isn't just found at Anthem. I was at another corp who cut employees for being poor performers then rehired them later...from a few weeks to months later. Sometimes with a better job title and higher salaries. The big problem is preponderance of hiring managers at other companies who shame/blame laid-off workers. The question is which companies still value employees more than stock prices?

Ive heard of people that are 2 or more hours away being asked to come into the office. 2-3 times a week despite having no other members of their project teams in the same location.

I’m in finance division and 7/1 only applies to wah associates that are in a reasonable distance to a local anthem office. Don’t believe a single word of anything. Everyone should be preparing their resumes and/or getting their ducks in a row. The futures looks dim

I saw some documentation going around today in the Finance division that basically said everyone needs to report to an office by 7/1 or face termination. This hasn't been widely disseminated yet but speculation is that other groups are facing the same ultimatum. This smells like a stealth RIF, because a lot of people can't/won't relocate so quickly and with NO assistance. Very backwards policy in this day and age, Anthem is on the wrong side of history here.
