ResMed has retrenched around 45 staff, mostly engineers, from their Respiratory Care department and supporting group at their Bella Vista campus. Much of the work for oxygen concentrators has already been previously moved to ResMed's facilities in Singapore. It is assumed that future development and support for non-invasive ventilation products will be carried out there also.
It is expected that further retrenchments in the short term will occur, particularly in streamlining the IT department.
