Sears is a dying senior citizen hub. Kmart a little bit more upbeat. But neither will survive. Kmart has a better chance. They at least have workers who actually can work or at least move.

Some Kmarts can be successful. When we go to Mammoth Lakes we always stop at the Kmart in Bishop CA to stock up on the things we need. The prices are better than in LA, the store is well stocked, and the employees and service are better.

Kmart is dead and gone. Sears is rotting and almost gone. Sears at least has a modicum of goodwill left, whereas most associate Kmart with Rainman. Very telling that new stores are under the Sears banner, minimum 36 Kmarts are going to close, and there are more Sears left than Kmarts.
