Should have been done long ago, a tiny office in a prime location, a complete waste of resources.

Let’s not argue and detract from the point of this thread. Whether it’s true or not, the fact there is a potential of closing the NY office is depressing. As someone pointed out, the NY office is/was a reminder of the success of Riverbed and has MANY good people reporting into that office that I hope we do not lose.

For the leaders, asking a NY/NJ person to uproot themselves (and their families) to NC is another way of asking them to quit.

To all, stop fighting with each other on this forum, it literally does no one any good.

Paris is too expensive. But we have been shifting more operations from SF to TX. And we remain committed to achieving a successful outcome for our investors.

Not having a presence in NYC would be admitting Riverbed is not a contender anymore. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. If not, take your toys and go home like a loser baby.

Let’s all move to Paris, TX, I’m sure TB would just love that.

SF’s footprint has been shrinking by way of leasing our floor space to other companies.

No surprise here. NYC is one of the most expensive real estate markets in the world. Riverbed isn’t a prestigious investment bank recruiting from the Ivy League. No reason to locate in NYC when you can staff same quality support personnel in lower cost cities in same time zone.

I would like to reiterate that climate change is real. The consolidation of redundant office space will help reduce our overall carbon footprint and put us on better footing for sustainable growth.
