Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

A Harvard textbook example of how not to run a business

To many top performers from the legacy company s management teams were let go. The Broadview acquisition is a classic example. All the top Managers and Executives are gone. The Managers and Executives that remain are the slackers and skaters. Terrible at Customer and Channel Partner Support. A Harvard textbook example of how not to run a business.

A short post from @YcZ2LvQ-6ftx , that’s actually a reply to another thread, but couldn’t have said it better myself. This deserves to be a thread.

Hey @YiknThL-1irl,

Thank you for your valuable insight. You are, certainly, correct. I suppose I should have spent more time proof reading my own statement on a pointless post used to point out the flawed superiority complex of people like yourself.

Oh wait - I don't care enough because, I focus on the message. I'm glad that your English grammar skills are so advanced.

However, congratulations on getting me to look up Shatner comma.. Shatner is awesome, so I take that as a compliment.

Hey @YiknThL-pkk

"Your time is wasted because, you're too busy worrying about how people speak instead of the content in their message." There is an unnecessary comma after the subordinating conjunction 'because'. Removing the comma will improve the readers ability to comprehend the content of your message.

"I find it funny that most grammar cops are barely educated meatheads whom can only make themselves seem smart by pointing out insignificant errors. " The pronoun 'whom' is in the wrong form. Changing to 'who' will improve the readers interpretation of the sentence content.

+1 on the attempt to use the 'Shatner Comma' in the 3rd paragraph.

Grammar attacks result when someone lacks any substance in a response.

Dear grammar police,

Your time is wasted because, you're too busy worrying about how people speak instead of the content in their message.

I find it funny that most grammar cops are barely educated meatheads whom can only make themselves seem smart by pointing out insignificant errors.

If you actually studied communication, you'd know that the language, with or without perfect grammar, can be construed to be meaningless simply by deploying deconstructionism.

In fact, the only point of language is to relay one thought from one person to one or more other people. I'd say the message was clear, even with the missing o.

.. See.. you can look stupid too!

That'd be "too", as a reference to quantity not "to".

If you want to discuss textbook studies, you might want to begin with elementary school English.
