Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

There is no future at Thomson Reuters

I think everybody can see by now that nobody can count on anything long term at Thomson Reuters. Management has decided that layoffs are the only way to deal with mounting problems, and since that never solves anything,. we'll be stuck in this circle forever.

My advice is to start looking for a new job as soon as possible, I know I have.

Continue to look and will leave if I find something suitable. The hope of keeping the customer bases are dwindling because the products are becoming worse and worse.

Management is generally clueless and forced processes for the sake of processes isn't the way to run a ship.

Toronto you are safe? Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. Far from safe here Tell that to all the people who have been laid off or sold and we all know they aren’t finished yet.

If you are in Toronto or Bangalore, you have a good shot at having long career. Layoffs are happening only in the US.

It’s prettty obvious that careers lasting more than 10-12 years at TR have gone the way of the scheduled afternoon baseball double headers. However I think that apppies to most of Corporate America.
