Not going to ask HR this so thought I’d come here. Planning for my departure in the future and wondering if TR pays for unused PTO when you quit?

Unused vacation time -- single pay-out at termination
All other PTO (sick time, floating holidays, etc.) -- use 'em or lose 'em
I did not get paid for unused sick days. I remember when they gave you a $100 gift certificate for using no sick days during the year. Very different company.
Do they pay out unused sick days?
Perfect. Great tip about using the floating holidays first! I’m planning my exit a few months out so wanted to make sure I don’t also need to schedule vaca using my accrued days in between now and then so as to not get ripped off.
Make sure you use Floating Holidays first as they do not compensate you for unused FH’s.
Regarding the comment "I think you get paid for accrued time off if you get laid off"--correct. When my position was eliminated, I received a separate check for accrued unused vacation time through my termination date--incentive to take no vacation days after I was canned.
I think you get paid for accrued time off off if you get laid off.
Yes—you’ll get paid for unused PTO that you’ve accrued. I.e, it’s March now so you won’t get paid for April-December PTO because you haven’t accrued that time yet. PTO is accrued the first of that month across most of TR.
Yes, accrued only though.
