I'm ready to leave ConocoPhillips, but I'd prefer to do it with some kind of an additional safety net... Do we have any idea if volunteer layoffs might be offered to older employees who have been here for 15+ years any time soon? Any info on this would be appreciated.

15+ years? I gotta be at least 40. Wheeling an oxygen tank by your side, and walkin hunched with a cane. Thought Conoco got rid of everyone b4 they were elderly.
