Thread regarding Riverbed Technology Inc. layoffs

New Direction ...

I appreciate PM’s latest update on the new direction but when will TB and the rest of the leadership team realize they are not the ones that should leading this change. It’s literally like a 50 year old dude trying to pull off being a college student and rushing for some frat - it just not believable nor tasteful.

IMO, if riverbed is to change, it’s not at the bottom, it’s at the senior director and above level - get these dinosaurs out and hire in folks from younger companies NOT like CA, BMC, Cisco, etc

Apparently the court of public opinion has made its decision ... wow, didn’t expect to see that many pluses.

I think "TheTeam" is completely missing the point. Any set of persons can manage a book of business, especially a private one so your 3.6 billions reason is truly moot - shoot, there are millennials out there managing an even larger business (valuation) with more complexity (than infrastructure) than us that do an decent job. The question is, is "TheTeam" the right people to lead next generation solutions? Or are they the ones we're (literally) stuck with.

I think this poll is pretty ingenious so to "TheTeam" your scores will be based on the # of +'s here.

We have 3.6 billion reasons why we are the ones leading the change. But if anyone feels they can do a better job we are currently entertaining offers.

I’m one of those who are indifferent regarding our leaders. That being said, let’s take a poll that we can vote on to determine if the riverbed leadership are the ones to take us to this new Promise Land:

Vote Up if you DON’T think the current leadership can lead us through this evolution.

Vote Down if you DO think the current leadership can lead us through this evolution
