Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Wall Street and the big what if...

Glassdoor is one THE leading employee review sites around. On Glassdoor, cvs has consistently gotten very low ratings. Cvs is in the top 20 worst companies to work for. Our ceo currently has a failing grade on Glassdoor as most employees have an unfavorable opinion of him, AND most people would NOT recommend someone else to work here. To top it all off, employee morale is extremely low at cvs. When wall street looks at a companies financial health and their future, employee morale is NOT something they look at, nor does Wall Street care what employee think about their company. That makes sense because basically employee morale has zero bearing on quarterly results. HOWEVER... this is where the big “IF” comes into play. What happens if more people get fed up to the point of saying “to h—l with this place!” and then quitting? We talk about mass layoffs here, and guess what? Wall Street would cheer that, as a great cost cutting measure, and the stock would go up and everybody would be happy. BUT, if there was a mass quitting of employees, to crisis levels, then cvs would be in trouble, and THAT’S something Wall Street can’t predict! And that’s why employee morale does matter to a company, and should matter to Wall Street! I personally have NEVER seen the hate for any company by employees this bad except at cvs. I’ve heard horror stories of working at other companies, but never to the level of cvs!

Yes they can,/ are a holes but just minions.

Poster recently said, "we don't care about you or customer service, soon they will have no choice but to use only our pharmacy."

Sickening.

Only field leadership that could run one of these sinking ships are the men and women who actually ran a store.....these pharmacist dls who never ran a store and are running districts now are a joke...ours actually comes into the store with the merchandising book because she has no clue...lol

It's coming to a point where employees are worn out. Smaller stores only having one person per shift, larger stores have 2 fs. Truck and ad is not getting done, Planos are behind and those customer surveys are bringing moral down even lower. I would love to see Merlo actually try to run a store at this point.

One site, kununu the average employee satisfaction rate is around 4.1. Fishy seeing how all these 4.8 postings. All within a 3 day span, January 18-21.
