@1qq It's been common knowledge for a couple of weeks. Told to us by our District Manager. Here in California they have to pay it out as per state labor law. We then start at zero but with the same accumulation amount as we were getting before. I get 4 plus vacation hours every two weeks. Other states will get it transferred over to the new company. We won't get paid out on sick leave and will lose any that is left over. Check with your state labor board to verify your situation.
State labor laws vary widely so I would encourage everyone to reach out to their HR, but then fact check what their told with their State's labor board. I wouldn't put it past any Sears HR to steer us wrong.

Told by who and what proof?
I believe in michigan they are required to payout any unused vacation time also.
Personal time.. no
Meaning if you have vacation starting with the new fiscal year all of it will be gone at the end of April?
Vacation pay will be paid out in California. Sick time no. Everybody is then reset to zero.
"New company" yeah... such a NEW company...what a joke...
