I’ve never seen an inventory so disorganized. This will be my first with CVS. No extra payroll, still have all the normal weekly activities but expected to deliver an inventory ready store? Am I missing something? Yes I have asked for hours and or help. I’m honestly confused. Most retailers will hold the truck, planograms etc, in order to give you time to properly detail your store.

They do not care because they can manipulate your boh with a couple key strokes. They can charge you whatever they want to inflate or deflate your inventory months leading up to inventory date. This is the reason for the focus on accuracy BOH, so they can move fake inventory (costs) into or out of your store depending on amount of cost needed to be close to your budget when the day rolls around.

Do what you have to do. Use the extra hours. What are they going to do about it? Put you on level I?
Inventory isn’t make or break like it is for other retailers. CVS doesn’t really care. Hell, my DMs never even gave me or talked to me about my results, they just show up in your reports like 4 months later.
Yeah, don’t worry about the back room. Just make sure you count it. Do a decent facing and just roll on. Don’t spend an extra minute thinking about it, the company doesn’t.
Partner with one of your neighbor stores. They help you a day with prep and you return the favor when they prep.
Just use the hours and take the consequences. Don’t worry about what backroom looks like, in the last 3 years no one even went back there.
Welcome to CVS! We had inventory the first week of the month and were allowed to use extra hours but have to pay them back by the end of the month.
You can skip the BOH scan inventory week. I agree though they except us to be inventory ready everyday.
