Thread regarding CVS layoffs

No remodel, No new signage, no competition.

High volume stand alone store,

No Indies, no Grocery pharmacies, only 1 other in town, RA and CVS 10 miles away.

Are we set for closure, lease not up for 30 more yrs.

You're good. You're not getting a remodel/THH because it's just burning money. You're already a destination store.

General closures (that I've seen in my market anyway) have at least 2 of these three variables:

1) low volume (20k or less)

2) terrible leases, usually upwards of 25-30k/mo

3) Very High Shrink. Not only red, but literally customers filling carts and smiling/waving as they walk out red. Put the whole store behind glass/drive thru Rx red. Prices are optional red. You get the idea.

In short, nothing like your situation. Congrats, you have a job here as long as you want one. 👍

If the store is profitable you probably won't close.
