Seems that owners are keeping each other informed. SHO hasn’t said a word to anyone via e mail.

Typical , their communication and professionalism has gone out the door. SHO tactics with owners are becoming desperate.

Angry out of the loop cheerleader is probably Eddie, who per usual, has no idea what's going on in his own company

Just to be clear. All 5 of theAppliance and hardware stores that are left are liquidating effective 5/17. Owners were notified with a phone call.

Not bs. Sad news.

@YXrcvte-2xnn:

That's 6 out of 13 closing (46%). I'm guessing the remaining 7 will follow soon.

I am looking up each of the stores listed on the http://www.searshardwarestores.com/store-list site. Of all the stores listed on the website (13) Ponderay, ID; Easton, PA; Norristown, PA; Portage, IN; Glassboro, NJ; Parma, OH all have the Store in Liquidation Banner on their website. Batavia, IL; Bolingbrook, IL; Bad Axe, MI; Big Rapids, MI; Huntsville, TX; Logan, UT; Sheboygan, WI; do not have the banner.

@1jtp, it's true....search Google news or go on the actual website and select your nearest store and it will show a closing banner. SHOS is forcing them to liquidate...there are probably only a dozen or so stores left that are branded that way though. It looks like they aren't giving the owners an option to convert to an actual Outlet or Hometown.

That is ridiculous, lol there are more of these hometown stores in the country then sears an Kmart put together. They can't just liquidate franchisee owned stores. Maybe at most the name! Stop posting uneducated guesses at what you want to happen an then continue to post like your other people saying it's true. You can tell all comments are you doing it. Do you think we're all Peons here? You must be a sears manager of some sort lol.

Looks like it is true, although I don't think there are too many 'Appliance and Hardware' stores left anyway. Most in my area closed up in the last few years. My nearest one is also an 'Oulet', so I wonder if that part will stick around.

As a HTS owner, I heard the same thing today!

the inventory in the stores is on consignment so SHOS owns it not the franchisee

Where's the link to this? Doesn't seem true

No. OP, give sources or shut it. SHOS cannot simply yank the franchise and seize the store to liquidate it because they own nothing in the store, and do not employ anyone in the store. They’d need to buy all of the merch from the franchisee and give jobs to everyone needed for liquidation, in addition to paying the franchise buyout with money they don’t have and have no way of getting. The only sources for anything about SHOS are old articles predating Eddie’s firing board members in favor of his toadies. Either give a source for this claim, or quit parroting it. You’ve now posted it twice with zero supporting evidence.

At least they were smart enough to fold and not let Eddie further make them his play things.

Josephine, the Chairman of Land's End is also on SHOS Board of Directors. SHOS' shareholder meetings are literally held inside Transform's HE owned buildings. Sears Holdings which is suing Transform also work inside Transform's HE owned buildings. Every part of the farce is all Eddie all the time.
