Why would Uniti take over the assets?
More importantly, why on earth would the creditors let them?
Uniti is overloaded with its own debt. They’re hoping to survive the Windstream debacle without ending up in bankruptcy themselves.
If you tie two rocks together, that doesn’t mean they’re going to float any better than before.

The creditors have hired consultants, too.
I think the creditors are going to want to make sure asset sales of any size are getting the best price possible.
Probably a lot more involved with this bankruptcy than we know.
Why would creditors try to sell older gear and make almost nothing back...vs taking stock in NewCo and making more
