Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Aetna cares about numbers

It's a company run by ruthless actuaries and financiers that do everything they can to prevent old people from getting medical treatment. CVS is in the big leagues now. You thought things were bad under CVS? Aetna does not give a damn about weak millennial feelings. It has no sympathy for snowflakes. Get with the program or go home. Trust me, pretty soon, all of you will be looking back upon this period as the good old days.

CVS cares about you. We heard you and we have heart. Form a heart with your hands and take a picture and post to Twitter. See? We care. Now, let's see how you are doing with OSAT.

What payroll? With the hours the stores get these days, it’s amazing they manage to stay open at all.

And CVS doesn’t care about the numbers? I just don’t see how we make a profit at all with ALL the payroll the stores get. Thank God Aetna is coming to set us straight!

I hope this judge eats them up and spits them up. Both of these companies are greedy and treat their employees like trash. They certainly don't care about their members/customers. The only thing #1 in their mind is that almighty dollar.

Cvs bought Revco, the trainers that came in said enjoy this help cause after 12 months they will cut you back to cvs standards of payroll. Sure enough - the payroll slash took effect. So they will let Aetna

Run for a while then slash them to the bone

To be fair, cvs is essentially a retail pharmacy, not a health insurance company. So with cvs getting into a space they’re not familiar with, it’s plausible that Aetna might take control over certain things. So there might be some truth to these postings. Bear in mind, cvs wants to reinvent healthcare, and insurance is a huge part of healthcare. I could see Aetna telling cvs, “no, this is how you do it!”, and then cvs doing it “that” way.

Aetna 4Q and 1Q results are the only reason CVS dismal numbers didn’t plunge the stock into the 40’s.

Haha haha.... this post cracks me up. CVS owns Aetna, not the other way around. You’ll see how much they trim the Aetna side down and then you will understand all of our complaints. You’ll be the ones missing the good ol days when they fully integrate you.

We took Aetna over not the other way around. Get with the program. CVS controls them now.

All of this means nothing IF Judge Leon rejects the merger! At this rate I hope he does, because this, what you’re saying, doesn’t sound good...
