Took the package June 2018. Got my pension, my 401k, and hauled a--. I got an exit interview, I complained... not no word. Best decision I've made. I feel better health wise, too. It will be 1 year that I left that sh-- hole.

It’s true, I left last October and took my pension & my 401K out. As far as I know the legacy Qwest side should have both available when you get surplussed. I took them and put them in an IRA. I feel it was the best thing to do after getting the boot from CTL.
I got my 401k and pension last year in march, life is good after 20 years of that place.

Where do those of you without both worK? Monroe? That's why CTL HEADQUARTERED there, and closed locations where employees were better compensated, cheap labor, and probably kickbacks from the state so gettiing you on that end and the other with lower wages.
I got 401k and pensiom too. The pension was only frozen eight years ago so many of us had 20, 30 years of accruing and 401k was there the whole time with a healthy company match for years. I loved my job with Sprint, Centel and Embarq for many years, that went down some with Centurytel and it became a true sh--hole with the Qwest merger. If it would have been that bad earlier most would not have stayed. Sadly the telecom companies have not caught on to the facts that have been proven with data showing that companies who compensate their employees well and treat them well have higher profits. I think they know but they really only care about their big bonuses for reducing expense.
I left last June also. The paid me my package and I cashed out my retirement also. About $200k.
Since every year I maxed out my 401K too...I got both. I bought new Truck, paid off my house, bought my daughter and wife a new car. Sold my real estate investments and still have enough money to do well on even if I never collect SS.

Wish they would offer us a package. I would do the same! Already cleaned out my desk and just waiting.
