Do I get paid for unused vacation days if I'm laid off?

Yes
They screwed everyone over by no longer keeping vacation on the books. No records are kept, so when they do layoffs there is no payout for unused vacation. Some SOB in HR probably got a big bonus for that idea.

That's if you're on that plan. Places like STST aren't.
HR policies are available on the site - I recommend looking them up for your particular location.
It's unlimited vacation, so you get unlimited pay for unused days off
