Anadarko Offshore Operators Need to Know!

What's the operator pay over there?

What kind of benefits?

401k - Pension - HSA?

Is training all overtime, split, or straight time?

Help us out, we are constantly hearing BS from all sides. Set us straight!

The previous post is correct in that Oxy has no current offshore operations, so it's impossible to say how the benefits would compare. But in Monday's conference call, Vicki made it clear that Oxy would be keeping the GOM assets to generate cash flow, so I assume your current pay and benefit structure would continue. Below is her statement from the conference call:

"With respect to the Gulf of Mexico assets, our strategy would be the same as Anadarko's there, and that is to just use that asset to generate cash. It would not be to consolidate or extend the growth. It's to maintain production flat and keep our cash flow flat. And Anadarko has done a great job doing that, and they have a superior team working in the Gulf of Mexico today."

Best of luck to you, I know this is a very stressful time for all.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but, OXY sold off everything in GOM back in 2000. There are no offshore operations.

More bad news for you is the fact that you will be part of the $15B divestiture that has been announced once the deal is done.
